Gabrysch Named East High School Principal

Justin Gabrysch is the new principal at Victoria East High School. The Victoria ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Gabrysch at their meeting Thursday night.

Mr. Gabrysch has been the assistant principal at Victoria East High School since 2014. He earned his Masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston-Victoria and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University – College Station.

Mr. Gabrysch has also served the district as an assistant principal at Cade Middle School and teacher and coach at Patti Welder Middle School. He was selected as the VISD Teacher of the Year in 2010 and TAASP Assistant Principal of the year for Region 3 in 2017.

Superintendent Quintin Shepherd expressed confidence that Mr. Gabrysch will be an exceptional leader for the high school campus. “Mr. Gabrysch has proven himself as a transformational servant leader at Victoria ISD and I am excited he will continue to bring this leadership forward in service to East High School,” he said. “The Titans have been on a path of Continuous Improvement under Mr. Motley and I see continued success in their future.”

“I am excited to work with the Titan community in this new capacity,“ Mr. Gabrysch added. “There are a lot of great things happening at East as we prepare our students for their next step in life.”

VISD administration will be working to fill the now open assistant principal position at Victoria East High School.
