Melissa Trevino is a native of Laredo, Texas and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Texas A&M International University. She has earned a Master’s in Performance from West Texas A&M University and is currently working towards a second Master’s in Interdisciplinary Studies. While attending WTAMU, Melissa served as concertmaster for the WTAMU Symphony Orchestra and performed four graduate recitals under the tutelage of Dr. Rossitza Goza. She also served as the associate concertmaster for the Amarillo Symphony and played regularly with Chamber Music Amarillo. Aside from the many performance gigs around town, Melissa also coached the Philharmonic and Preparatory String Orchestras of the Amarillo Youth Orchestra Program and ran a successful private studio. Melissa now resides in Victoria, Texas and teaches orchestra at East High School, directs Crossroads Strings, and performs with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra.
