The importance of post secondary education has increased significantly and having marketable skills and some type of preparation is pivotal to your success. Future economic stability and career opportunities are driven by the careful action plans that begin early on in high school.

Victoria Independent School District, in partnership with Victoria College, is committed to the individual success of all our students and their post-graduation plans. Victoria East and Victoria West both have a Career and College Center located in the library to assist with these plans. Our center is eager to provide help with both academic and non-academic pathways which would include: information on colleges, universities, and trade schools, general admissions questions, career exploration, resume writing, financial aid pathways including scholarship quests, and general college entrance exams. We are available throughout the year to meet with students and parents to engage in proactive conversations that lead to a fruitful plan after graduation.

Dual Credit Opportunities

Dual Credit Enrollment is an educational program designed to enable high school students to enroll in courses that receive both college and high school credits simultaneously. Dual Credit Enrollment is a great way for high school students to get a jump start on their college education.
