The Victoria ISD Board of Trustees, in a majority decision following the July 25 special called board meeting, is proud to announce the appointment of Bridgette Sutton Marshall as the new District Two Trustee.
The appointment comes following the resignation of Dr. Estella De Los Santos. The decision to accept Dr. De Los Santos' resignation and appointment of Ms. Marshall to fill the vacancy was made during the special called board meeting held on July 5, 2023.
Initially, four candidates applied for the District Two seat, with one applicant withdrawing. At the July 25 Special Called Board Meeting, applicants were given three minutes to provide an introduction and were asked several questions with two minutes to respond. As a result, Ms. Marshall's exceptional qualifications and dedication to public education stood out among the candidates.

"Her passion for public education and her understanding of the needs of our district will undoubtedly enrich our decision-making process and positively impact the lives of our students and educators."
