Victoria ISD Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week

The Victoria Independent School District is proud to recognize and celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, which takes place from May 1 to May 5, 2023. The District celebrates the Teacher Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) Education Appreciation Days.

Teachers play a critical role in shaping the future of our society by inspiring and educating our youth. Over the past year, they have demonstrated remarkable resilience and dedication in order to serve our students. They have adapted to new teaching methods, technology, and  resources to ensure their students receive a high-quality education.

This year's Teacher Appreciation Week is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude and recognize our teachers' hard work and commitment. We encourage students, parents, and the community to join us in celebrating our teachers and thanking them for their efforts.

To mark this occasion, campuses have planned several activities to honor our teachers, including stocking the teachers’ lounge fridge, bringing teachers a special gift, complimenting your teacher with a homemade card, and more!

We encourage everyone to participate in these activities and show their appreciation for our teachers' hard work and dedication. Let's celebrate our teachers and show them how much we value their contributions to our community.

Within VISD there are 851 teachers (429 elementary and 422 secondary) across multiple campuses, and some of our teachers have been in the District for over 40 years!

Victoria ISD is a District of Innovation, committed to creating a positive, caring learning environment for students and staff. We believe that our teachers grow and refine the genius of our students.

We are so grateful for our teachers and are #VISDProud of the work they do day in and day out.
