Victoria East Project Graduation’s Chick-fil-A Community Care Event Monday, April 29th 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. The fundraisers are different from the ones in the past. You MUST order on the Chick-fil-A app (MOBILE dine in, carry out, curbside, drive thru or delivery) and you MUST put in organization's code: EAST24. You can order at any of the 3 locations from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Please share with your family, friends and coworkers. Post on your social media. VEHS Journalism students attended Interscholastic League Press Conference Spring Convention at the University of Texas in Austin. They learned from experts in photography, news publication, and journalism. The staff is excited to bring their ideas back to East and continue to grow the program. VEHS Hosts STAAR Boot Camps to prepare students for success. English I and II, Algebra, Biology and US History all provided targeted interventions to review key concepts and skills leading up to the big tests. Great job to all these Professional Learning Communities and the Instructional Coaches who helped make these camps possible. We're All In for success on the STAAR!

⭐ This past weekend, the Victoria East High School and Victoria West High School Boys Powerlifting teams showed impressive determination at the THSPA Division 1 State Championship in Abilene, Texas. Victoria West Barbenders secured a 4th-place team finish. 🏋️ Victoria East Powerlifting secured a 5th place team finish. 🏋️ 💪 Lifting a total of 1,080-pounds, West Sophomore Brodie Flores won the State Champion title in the 114 Weight class. 🥇 💪 Lifting a total of 2,010-pounds, East Junior Jose Lugo won the State Champion title in the Super Heavyweight class. 🥇 Congratulations to both teams on an incredible season and to 2024 State Champions Brodie and Jose! 🏆 🎉 #VISDProud 👏 Visit https://bit.ly/49fVJ2a to read more.

**** 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 **** 🌡️ The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and Victoria ISD is actively monitoring the weather forecast and receiving daily updates from the Office of Emergency Management/National Weather Service. The most recent update we received today does not indicate a need to change the regular school day schedule this week. We recognize the forecast can change, and we will continue to monitor the ongoing weather updates and provide additional information if the forecast indicates the need to alter our regular schedule. Due to the very low temperatures, the Lauren Johnson Golf Tournament has been rescheduled for March 4 and 5. Due to the limited food and labor resources, we regretfully will not be able to serve parents, grandparents and family members for the Annual Thanksgiving Lunch on our school campuses on November 17 (elementary) & 18 (secondary). You are welcome to bring in a meal to eat with your child that day.
