โญ This past weekend, the Victoria East High School and Victoria West High School Boys Powerlifting teams showed impressive determination at the THSPA Division 1 State Championship in Abilene, Texas.
Victoria West Barbenders secured a 4th-place team finish. ๐๏ธ
Victoria East Powerlifting secured a 5th place team finish. ๐๏ธ
๐ช Lifting a total of 1,080-pounds, West Sophomore Brodie Flores won the State Champion title in the 114 Weight class. ๐ฅ
๐ช Lifting a total of 2,010-pounds, East Junior Jose Lugo won the State Champion title in the Super Heavyweight class. ๐ฅ

๐ก๏ธ The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and Victoria ISD is actively monitoring the weather forecast and receiving daily updates from the Office of Emergency Management/National Weather Service. The most recent update we received today does not indicate a need to change the regular school day schedule this week. We recognize the forecast can change, and we will continue to monitor the ongoing weather updates and provide additional information if the forecast indicates the need to alter our regular schedule.

Due to the limited food and labor resources, we regretfully will not be able to serve parents, grandparents and family members for the Annual Thanksgiving Lunch on our school campuses on November 17 (elementary) & 18 (secondary). You are welcome to bring in a meal to eat with your child that day.

Victoria ISD has become aware of a student participating in the Battle of the Boot Twitter competition and has posted hateful comments directed towards another VISD studentโs race.
